Which devices do you use to chart biomarkers?Boston Cross Check has protocols for the following devices: temperature tracking with an oral thermometer or the Tempdrop, and hormonal monitoring using the Clearblue monitor. We do not have protocols for the Oura Ring, Apple Watch, or Mira or Inito monitors.
Does this method meet the standards for diocesan NFP ministry of the United States Council of Catholic Bishops?Yes! Our program is approved by the USCCB and listed on their website. We can provide clients with a letter for their pastors, if needed, stating that they have completed a course that meets these standards.
What is the cost of the course?Each Boston Cross Check instructor charges the same fees for classes. The Method Instructional Program is $200 ($50 each for 4 sessions). The Postpartum class costs $300 ($150 each for 2 sessions). When budgeting for the class, keep in mind the cost of the Clearblue monitor (roughly $150, pricing varies), test sticks (roughly $40 for 30 sticks) and, if you decide to use it, the Tempdrop ($189).
